From 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM August 11th to 15th St. John’s children’s and youth ministries are offering the opportunity to journey with us to discover Spirituality in nature. This week-long Bible camp, designed to open our eyes and hearts to see God’s creation is all around us, will take campers in grades K-8 on a quest to find God among the rocks, leaves, animals, rain, flowers, rivers and more.
Each day will start with an opening assembly, and then we will break into small groups for faith-based lessons designed to keep kids engaged and learning. Lesson will be tailored to different age levels. Through a variety of activities like catchy songs, games, crafts, and more, our younger parishioners will discover God’s majesty in His glorious creation, deepen their oneness with Earth and the Divine, and learn how to be good stewards of this beautiful and wonderful gift we have all been given. Following a recreation time, camp will conclude each day with lunch together. The week will wrap up on Friday with a goodbye gathering.
Although camp ends on Friday, we invite all of our campers and their families to return on Sunday to sing the new songs they learned with our music director as part of a mini concert during the 10am service. This performance is a beautiful tradition, and is one of the highlights of the church year for young and old alike.
With this camp, kids of all ages will experience walking their Christian journey in new and exciting ways, recognizing that God’s creation is all around us, while continuing their Biblical education and putting their faith into action with a community service project! Join us as we embark on an epic quest through scriptures and dig into action-packed, Spirit-filled adventures.
Vacation Bible Camp is offered free of charge.
